Joseph Bert, CFP®, AIF®
As a fellow Boomer, I know the juggling act you’re doing: supporting your kids, helping with college and weddings, worrying about aging parents, building your career, and still trying to grow that nest egg for your own retirement. It’s a lot. I’ve walked alongside hundreds of families through those same seasons, and I’m confident I can help you, too.
I started in financial planning in 1976 and later founded Certified Financial Group, Inc., where I serve as the Chairman and CEO. Over the years, I’ve earned my CFP® certification and completed the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) program training that sharpened how I approach fiduciary responsibility and portfolio management. I’ve been active in the Financial Planning Association, including serving as President and Chairman of the Orlando Chapter, and I’ve taught as adjunct faculty for the College for Financial Planning in Denver.
Many folks in Central Florida know me from Saturday mornings at 9:00 a.m. on 107.3FM & 580AM WDBO, where I host “On the Money!” Radio show. Listeners generously nicknamed me the Oracle of Orlando® and I’ve also been a regular guest on Fox 35 WOFL. I’ve hosted the nationally syndicated TV program The American Investor, appeared on Hour Magazine with Gary Collins, and contributed to local affiliates on Channels 2, 9, and 13. My columns have run in the Orlando Business Journal, and I’ve been quoted in Orlando Magazine, the Orlando Business Journal, and The Wall Street Journal.
Service matters to me. In 2008, I was honored by the Vatican with the Papal Order of Knight of St. Gregory the Great for my work in the Church and community. I’m also a board member emeritus of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.
Central Florida has been home since 1975. My wife and I raised three children here, and we’re now blessed with seven grandchildren. After five decades in this profession, I still love what I do: helping families make smart decisions with their money so they can enjoy the life they’ve worked so hard to build.
